  1. How can I install CACTUS Enterprise Edition? To learn about the installation of the CACTUS Enterprise Edition, click "CACTUS Enterprise IQ & OQ Installation Manual".
  2. How much learning is required to use CACTUS Enterprise Edition (CEE)? From the users' point of view, CEE can be considered as 3 integrated sub-systems: CACTUS Training Center (CTC), CACTUS Intranet System (ISYS), and CACTUS Metrics & Analysis (METAN). CTC is for everyone, ISYS is restricted to administrators and supervisors, supervisors and managers usually access METAN. Each sub-system has a simple and easy-to-use graphical User Interface (UI), that will make you "feel at home" in less than 30 minutes. In the case of ISYS, one day of training is recommended for full functional use.
  3. Can employees with a minimal background use on-line training? Yes. At the trainee level, a simplified CACTUS Training Center (CTC) will keep you in focus. You are directed only to the courses scheduled at the time. Based on your course assignment, starting your on-line courses and interacting with the content is easier than walking into your classroom and interacting with the instructor.
  4. How long is an average course? Depending on your experience in the particular course subject, the courses can take form 45 minutes to 90 minutes.
  5. Can I segment my course-learning into separate chapters? Yes. Using the bookmark the courses can be segmented into separate parts.
  6. How long does an average examination take? Depending on the competency of the person, it can take 15 to 30 minutes.
  7. Can I segment my examinations? No.
  8. Can I do practice runs? Yes. Your supervisor can allow you practice learning, but remember this will show up in your audit trail and learning path.
  9. Can I have customization? Can I have course text, video or images customized to my needs? Yes. For very reasonable charge, we can take your text, video, and images and integrate them into the course. We have done this for others where very specific requirements exist, such as in "Gowning".
  10. What can be done, if I need more and/or different tests in the courses and/or examinations? For very reasonable charge, we can take your test or examination specifications and integrate them into an on-line course or examination.
  11. How does CEE support hybrid training? In addition to the results obtained by automatic training, off-line training data can be entered manually.
  12. How long does take to build my employee database? One data entry operator can enter about 200 employees during an 8-hour day.
  13. How long does it take to build my course database? Course databases are built automatically with default values during course installation. System administrators can edit and change the default values.
  14. How long does it take to build my SOP database? If data are entered only in the required fields, then one individual can add 300 SOPs to the database during a 7-hour period. However, if tasks and knowledge items are also entered, then one individual can add about 30 SOPs to the database during a 7-hour period.
  15. Is version control included in the SOP Management System? Yes.
  16. Are SOP distribution & recall procedures included? Yes.
  17. Can I test the integrity of my SOPs? Yes.
  18. What SOP-integrity tests are included? Consistency tests relative to references & releases; completeness tests relative to distribution and required signatures; and, SOP-training needs analysis.
  19. How can I use learning objectives for training validation? Each learning objective is connected to one or more tests within the content. By using Statistical Quality Control tools, such as histograms, control charts, and applying them to representative test results, we can set meaningful limits for the learning objectives. Detailed examples can be found in the Virtual Corporation's Competency Manual.
  20. How can I define passing grades to myself or to my employees? Based on statistically meaningful results provided by companies within the health care industry, we have set default values for each competency course and competency examination. Naturally, the user having the needed access rights can change these parameters.
  21. What is IQ in competency training? Initial Qualification or IQ of competency training means a competency course without testing requirement.
  22. How can I use IQ in competency training? In general, IQ would be used for new assignments of existing employees.
  23. What is OQ in competency training? Operational Qualification or OQ of competency training is a verification of the employees' competencies.
  24. How can I use OQ in competency training? OQ requirements can be determined in two ways: (1) by setting the date for the training valid until interval, or (2) by Training Needs Analysis or Examination Needs Analysis predictive models. Detailed examples can be found in the Virtual Corporation's Competency Manual.
  25. What is PQ in competency training? Performance Qualification or PQ of competency training means SQC (Statistical Quality Control) modeling of training results within an interval for individuals, positions, and departments.
  26. How can I use PQ in competency training? PQ models can be found under the Training Performance Management category of the Training Decision Support module. Each model will have several variables that you can set for your evaluation.
  27. How can I get on-time meaningful support? We provide 7/24 (non-stop) availability through our Web-site. Visit our technical service and let us know how we can help you.
